Ukraine: January-April beer production down, malt output up in Ukraine

Ukraine’s January-April beer production dropped by 1.6% versus the same period in 2017, totalling 4.94 mln hl, Pivnoe Delo reported citing data by trade association Ukrpivo.

The figures don’t include alcohol-free beer and beer with less than 0.5% alcohol.

The nation’s malt output, on the contrary, increased by 19.2% to 117,400 tonnes over the reporting period.
